Burn Victim
I spilled some v. hot tea on myself yesterday afternoon. These two pictures are from Monday evening, at about 6 p.m. An hour or two later, the incipient blisters below had developed into something truly horrific. <-- (click if you dare)
Ow, ow, ow! WIWT has been the thing I most look forward to seeing in my Google Reader since I added it about two months ago, and I just saw that you have other blogs. Not quite the subject-matter I was expecting! The coin in the picture really puts that into perspective. I hope it heals quickly. Were you able to run cold water over it after the initial burn? I usually regret it when I don't bother doing so after giving myself a steam burn... but mine are never as big as that! I make my living as a university costume shop supervisor and freelance costume designer (for theatre and dance, of course), so there are ample opportunities for steam burns from our industrial irons. The next time I burn myself, I may be more responsible about cooling it with water, thanks to that picture.
